History

The hall was built in 1834 and served as a 'National School'. In 1932 a new school was built in the village and the hall served as a school canteen until 1967.

From 1967 the hall became a Church Hall to the nearby St. Johns Church and a village library.

The use of the church hall gradually dwindled over the years and the building began to require major renovation.

In 2004 the Parish Council (through the Parish Plan Committee) identified a need for a village community centre. Since then a steering committee was formed, funds raised and after a lot of effort building work started in September 2005 and concluded in November 2005.

The Steering Committee attracted new members as well as three Youth Advisors and in October 2005 was elected The Management Committee.

The Centre is now part of a network of Multi Use Centres in Lincolnshire and boasts a drop in centre, library with IT access, hosting to services and venue hire for groups, service providers and individuals.
