Scotter EAU Community Centre has secured funding to transform the existing St. Peters Church Hall in Scotter into a vibrant new centre for all the community. See the building work gallery.
The centre will offer FREE access for all residents in Scotter and the surrounding area/villages and is currently looking for volunteers to help in:
|
- The community café, preparing and serving soft drinks, beverages and light snacks
- Youth Activities (Youth Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7.30pm and 9.30pm)
- The Library for receiving returned books and lending out new ones
- An 'enabler' to assist people to access information and to help with their enquiries and problems (in conjunction with the Citizens Advice Bureau)
- Adults to attend to the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager
- Computer literate volunteers to assist those using the computers
Full Training will be given (in the case of the enablers by the CAB in Gainsborough)
Even if you can only spare a couple of hours a week or would like further information then please contact Bob Daniels, the newly appointed Centre Manager on 01724 762873 (his home number until the centre is connected to the phone).
